Victoria Jean Reynolds was born in 1993 during the storm of the century in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a recent graduate of George Mason University’s MFA Program, where she was a co-runner up for the GMU Rinehart Poetry Award. She holds a BA from Gettysburg College, where she was the runner-up for an Academy of American Poets Prize. She was recently selected as the runner-up for Defunkt Magazine’s Fall Chapbook Contest by Randall J. Tyrone for her HEROIC CROWN of sonnets TITLED “Visiting Pastoral”.

Always a runner-up, never a bride.

Her poems are forthcoming in West Branch, MICHIGAN QUARTERLY REVIEW, Waxwing andthe laurel review, and are recently featured in Salt Hill, Raleigh Review, and Muzzle. She was selected and served as an Isle Royale artist-in-residence through the National Park Service during the summer of 2025.
